Custom Website Questions:

I have very little computer knowledge, will I be able to update my site on my own?
YES!  I want to make sure all my clients know how and understand how to update their own site and add/edit products.  Once your website is complete, we will do a 1-hour phone tutorial to show you how to maintain your new website.  Please note:  This phone tutorial is only available for custom websites.

What is a Hosting, Shopping Cart, and a Merchant account?
Hosting: Hosts your website to be visible on the internet
Shopping Cart: Stores all your products available for sale.
Your Merchant: Processes your payments when customers check out through your website. i.e. Paypal

So how much are my monthly fees?
You will pay one fee for your hosting and shopping cart.  This is generally $12-$13 a month depending on the hosting provider chosen.  If you elect to use a merchant account that is not compatible with the free version of the shopping cart included in the hosting, you will need to upgrade your shopping cart for $8 a month.

When do I start paying my hosting?
Once your logo design have been approved, hosting will need to be set up at this time.  You can elect to pay this monthly or annually.

How long does web design take?
I generally give a 30-60 day time frame.  Some may take less and some take more.  There are no guarantees for a completion time.

If I am on the waiting list when will you start my design?
I begin all web designs at the beginning of the month.  All designs are started by the 10th of that month.

Are you available to talk over the phone?
I do have certain time slots throughout the week for scheduled calls.  If you are interested in a custom website and would like to talk over the phone, please contact me for my next available opening.

Once my deposit is made, what next?
I will send over a detailed pdf file with all the information you will need throughout the entire design process along with restored316designs terms & policies.  Along with this pdf will be a contract for you to print, sign and return.  No projects will begin without a signed contract. You will also receive a Creative Brief to fill in the design details of your site.  Once the survey is complete, we will schedule a call if we need to discuss any questions you or I may have regarding your design.  I will then begin your design in the timeframe given.
